We believe that getting the “Boy Scouts of America Equal Access Act” removed from the “No Child Left Behind” legislation signed into law by President Bush, Jan-2002 falls right in line with the education outreach and reform efforts being made regarding DADT and the DOMA. This was an insideous legislative insertion that had the effect of protecting a very harmful source of LGBT cultural bias and discrimination found on our K-12 public school campuses from being held to the same standards/legal repercussions as other similar sources of discrimination/exclusion in our K-12 public schools.
