In Commemoration of Independence Day, July 4th,

ACTIVISTS & PATRIOTS are invited to join voices to demand the inclusion of LGBT people in America’s Civil Rights Laws.

We gather in the Spirit of the Declaration of Independence:

“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness. … .” Declaration of Independence, adopted by the Continental Congress, July 4th, 1776.

Today, Our Independence is sought, not from the US Government, but from the constricts of a liberation movement too long controlled by organizations. Our independence is sought, not from those people and groups, but from the dictates and limitations of their vision and plan.

So on SUNDAY, JULY 4th, 2010, ALL FELLOW ACTIVISTS & PATRIOTS are invited to help secure with deliberate speed, the equal inclusion of “sexual orientation” and “gender identity” in the 1964 Civil Rights Act via The American Equality Bill – One Bill for Equal LGBT Civil Rights Now.

Todd (Tif) Fernandez, Esq. will speak to filing strategy, and grassroots activist, Natsha Dillion will report back from her first encounter on topic with the House Committee on Constitutional/Civil Rights.
