This doesn’t make any sense and violates some of the principles you all support.
Reform Immigration for America has said that the Uniting all Families Act will not be included in the comprehensive immigration reform package they are pushing.
In addition, they are backed heavily by the Catholic Church who have also made it clear that our bill will not be part of the package.
Why lend our voices in support when the organizers seek to divide us and use religion as justification for denying rights?
BTW – the MEETING LOCATION IN DC – is NOW: THE MALL, btwn. 7th & 14th Streets.
Matt – here’s a quick response: We’re joining the parade to cross the finish line together. RIFA doesn’t have the final say, and 4 of it’s members have already endorsed UAFA. The USCCB is only 1 of 18 on the “management team”. This is just the beginning of coalition building, not the end. Come march and make friends – and let’s see where it goes. We don’t get anywhere standing on the sidelines complaining that we’re not at the table.
