Sometimes we have to speak truth to power, often leading others into a place of discomfort and deepened understanding of the issues of LGBT oppression. Queer Rising a new non-violent civil disobedience group from New York City is doing just that. Here is a video of a recent action that they did on Martin Luther King, Jr Day where they went to popular places in NYC to spread their message. What would it look like if thousands of us did the same thing across the country?

Queer Rising is also doing a protest at the Ugandan Consulate at 9 a.m. on Feb. 4th. Signs and sidewalk. No civil disobedience.
